The mentor is an evolved leader. The role of the leader is to command, whereas the role of the mentor is to direct. While a leader involves themselves in the action, a mentor acts as a catalyst who guides without becoming involved in the process.

CAPL inspired by the Kautiliya’s Arthashastra is the Takshashila in the modern economic world. At CAPL, we have developed a group coaching model based on Chanakya’s teachings, which will script success and create great thought leaders.
The objective is to train Vijigishu (all Conquering) Leaders. This is achieved through a combination of learnings through the “Mitra & Mantrana” Model. At CAPL the approach is to apply the eternal wisdom of Chanakya in a modern format.
The approach is long-term and holistic. These principles (some of which are mentioned below) have remained and will remain unchanged over time.

Group Coaching Sessions

Mitra Sessions
The Mitra Sessions are arranged as group consulting sessions through the process of discussions. These sessions are a combination of knowledge sharing and problem solving. Every session typically would have two parts – A select set of sutras culled out of the Kautilya Arthashastra are taken up for discussion to align the leader to the Shastra. During session any specific problem(s) that need to be addressed are taken up for discussion.
The solutions are usually arrived at as a process of discovery rather than as advice only. The problems of both professional and personal domains are addressed in these sessions.
These sessions are designed to provide clarity of purpose to the Leader. As Chanakya says in the Arthashastra;
““वावनतो राजा ह जम वनय राता अनायथ थावम भुगते सवभूतेहत रताः ||
King who is trained in Shashtras, intent on the discipline of the subjects, enjoys the earth (alone) without sharing it with anyone, being devoted to welfare of people.

Mantrana Session
The Mantrana Sessions are specifically designed to align all the participants to the goal of the group coaching session. These sessions will be conducted simultaneously with the Mitra Sessions for ideal results. The approach based on the Kautilya Arthashashtra shall aim to create an individual which is ready for Success and growth in Life As Chanakya says in the Arthashastra;
म.पूवाः सव.आराः ॥ (1.15.2)
All undertakings should be preceded by consultation
It is stated in the Kautilya Arthashashtra that the
affairs of a kingdom are many-fold hence it is not
possible to accomplish them by a single person only.
Therefore the Leader should appoint three or four
councillors and hold consultations with them.
The Mantrana model shall comprise of approximately
24 sessions (on an average two every month). The
most important aspect of the model is the “Saptanga”
or 7 Limbs (Pillars) of leadership as suggested by
Chanakya.
